As Darıca District Governorship, in our capacity as the data controller as defined by Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, we place great importance on the security of your personal data. Therefore, we would like to inform you regarding the processing of your personal data.
PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and secondary regulations for the purposes and legal bases stated below. Accordingly, personal data such as “Full Name, Email Address, School, Grade, Age,” obtained through your application and submission of works via the competition website, are processed for the purposes of documenting your participation, evaluating your submissions, contacting you, and awarding prizes under the legal basis of the data controller's legitimate interest pursuant to Article 5/2-f of the Law.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
Darıca District Governorship may share your personal data with banks, Provincial and District Directorates of National Education, and with the public within the scope of announcing competition results, holding the award ceremony, and delivering awards to recipients, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, to enable payments.
METHODS OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA
Darıca District Governorship collects your personal data via email, mail, and courier through the application and information entry made for the student under your guardianship.
YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
As a data subject, you may apply to Darıca District Governorship and request:
• To learn whether your personal data is being processed, • If so, to request related information, • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose, • To know the third parties to whom your data is transferred domestically or abroad, • To request correction if your data is incomplete or incorrect, • To request deletion or destruction of personal data under the conditions in Article 7, • To request notification of such actions to third parties to whom your data has been transferred, • To object to decisions made solely through automated processing which are unfavorable to you, • To request compensation if you suffer damages due to unlawful data processing.
If you submit your request in accordance with the Application Procedures and Principles to the Data Controller Communiqué, Darıca District Governorship will conclude your request free of charge within the shortest time possible and at most within 30 (thirty) days depending on its nature. However, if the procedure incurs a cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be requested.
